14: The Springfield CoC, in partnership with Missouri State University, releases its 2019 High Risk and Homeless Youth Report, 8 p.m., at Pagination Book Shop, 1150 E. Walnut, Springfield. The event will include shared experiences of youth homelessness by members of the Phoenix Youth Action Board, a subcommittee of the Ozarks Alliances to End Homelessness.  Visit the Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness for more information.

27: Affordable Housing Coalition In-Person Meeting, Columbia Public Library, 1 pm. During our second in person working meeting, we will briefly explore various policy solutions and make final selections for which priorities this coalition will focus on in the 2020 legislative session. We will leave with a shared vision helping us reach our goal of a safe, accessible, and affordable home for everyone in Missouri. Please register here to attend.

1-30: Community Partnership’s Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness will launch its annual community education/awareness campaign, Every Action Counts, on November 1 in conjunction with Homeless Awareness Month. A number of partners and service providers in the Springfield community are opening their doors and offering  opportunities for education, involvement and giving. 9: Empower Missouri annual conference, "Building Blocks for Missouri's Success," at Hickman High School, Columbia, MO. This year's conference will highlight food insecurity and evidence-based public policy solutions to hunger.  For registration and more information, please visit the Empower Missouri Web site.

19-20: DMH Regional Housing Conference, Kansas City, November 19-20.  More info will appear at the DMH Housing Web site.

20:  HOPE Connection, 635 East St. Louis St. (Expo Center), Springfield.  HOPE Connection is a one day, one-stop service site for the Ozarks’ homeless population to gain access to vital services.  HOPE Connection expects to serve more than 650 homeless and poverty stricken individuals this year, connecting them with services from 70+ agencies including education, employment, healthcare, housing and more. HOPE Connection will again include a Veterans’ Stand Down, providing enhanced direct services for our area’s homeless veterans.  More information here.
